Evaluation of DKIM Authentication Results
eXpurgate has been supporting and evaluating DKIM for a long time. Our continuous monitoring of the email threat landscape has opened up new opportunities for defense. With the inclusion of DKIM authentication results, it will be even more difficult for spammers to overcome eXpurgate in the future.

With the eXplain ID and the eXampler API, our customers have two powerful APIs at their disposal to optimize their processes: The eXplain ID API can be used to determine detailed information on the reason for a classification, while the eXampler API offers a comprehensive interface for transmitting structured e-mail samples (e.g. for FP reports) and querying their processing status.
New version of the Structure Fingerprint
The improved version of the Structure Fingerprint makes it possible to differentiate the content of an email in several ways. The HTML content of an email is no longer just scanned and analyzed, but also understood and only the relevant parts are used for analysis.
eXflowCtl
Hailstorm attacks describe the receipt of many unwanted emails within a very short time. They pose a challenge for spam filters: despite very low latencies, many emails remain undetected at the beginning of such attacks. With eXflowCtl, we have an API that makes intelligent recommendations based on decision features to temporarily reject certain emails (so-called “greylisting”). This time gained reduces the detection gap to a minimum.
New phishing category
Right from the start, our product eXpurgate identifies phishing attacks. With the introduction of an explicit phishing category, customers can treat emails identified as phishing differently from the usual unwanted spam.
Feed Delivery Framework
With our self-developed API framework, we can react flexibly to customer requests in the area of APIs. Regardless of whether data for mail tracking or detection information on individual emails is required – the API framework forms the basis for a simple and standardized implementation of APIs.
New recognition features
New detection entities: subject, IP, subject-body fingerprint
The newly recorded entities allow unwanted emails to be identified and eliminated even more quickly.
New version of the image fingerprint
Not only legible text, but also images are used for detection. Improving the fingerprints for images ensures that even the latest image spam tricks are reliably detected.
Transaction Based Detection
It’s not just the content that counts: Transaction-based detection is being rolled out. Without knowing the content of an email, detection decisions can be made based on transaction patterns, such as the sending behavior of IPs.
New version Outbreak Detection
An improved version of Outbreak Detection helps to detect viruses and malware even faster and more reliably. Instead of relying on signature-based virus scanners, Outbreak Detection recognizes recurring patterns of file attachments within seconds. These often contain viruses and other malware.
Structure Fingerprint
The structure fingerprint is an additional tool for spam detection. In addition to the existing fingerprints for individual aspects of an email, the structure fingerprint evaluates the email as a whole.
